Reading:
“Many are saying of me, ‘God will deliver them’. But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.” ~Psalm 3:2-3

Reflecting:
66 At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him. 67 Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, “Are you also going to leave?” 68 Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. 69 We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God.” ~John 6:66-69
Only Jesus has the words of eternal life because only Jesus is the Saviour, the Son of God. Those who left Jesus that sad day chose to look elsewhere for whatever it was they thought they needed.
Has there been a time when you questioned God’s power and presence in your life?
- Where do you seek answers to your doubts? What if the answers are disappointing? How would you respond?
- What do you need from God today that hasn’t been fulfilled or answered? (personal reflection)

Wondering
What doubts do I experience? Is there anything that holds me back from admitting to myself, to God, or to someone I trust?
(pause)
Prayer: Lord, I want to believe but there are some doubts that are overwhelming! Help me be like the man who said, ‘I do believe, help me with my unbelief!’ (Mark 9:24) I don’t understand why you don’t answer my prayers, but I’d rather wrestle with doubt, than resign myself to despair. I choose to walk with You through doubts, pain, and questions, then not walk with You at all. I choose to believe that my struggles and doubts matter and that eternal life awaits those who trust you.

Listening
A song about Doubt called, “My Lighthouse” by Rend Collective:
In my wrestling and in my doubts
In my failures You won't walk out
Your great love will lead me through
You are the peace in my troubled sea,
You are the peace in my troubled sea
In the silence, You won't let go
In the questions, Your truth will hold
Your great love will lead me through
You are the peace in my troubled sea,
You are the peace in my troubled sea
My Lighthouse, my lighthouse
Shining in the darkness, I will follow You
My Lighthouse, my lighthouse
I will trust the promise,
You will carry me safe to shore
